Week 6 Tidbits of Information

Rock Collections for Science are due on Monday

We will be taking a little break from our regular reading book and reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as a class.

Students will be working on writing personal narratives and typing them in Google Docs.

Throughout the year we will be learning about different Bible festivals.  These experiences will help students understand the history behind each holiday.  They will get to see with their eyes,  hear with their ears, do crafts with their hands, and even taste the various features of the festivals, giving a lasting memory and a better understanding of the Bible.  Biblical and traditional customs will be described along with their symbolisms, fulfillment in Jesus, and modern-day applications.

The first two festivals we will celebrate will be the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah) and The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur)  These two festivals are only about a week apart and so we will celebrate both on Friday, September 28th.  For this to happen I need a few donations.  I need 12  to 15 apples, 3 tubs of caramel apple dip, and 2 dozen plain sugar cookies (no frosting).  Each student also needs to bring in one empty paper towel roll.  Please let me know if you could donate any of these items.
